Devilfish Poker appoints Mark McGuinness to new advisory board
Devilfish Poker, a free-to-play social community poker platform, announces the formation of its advisory board with the appointment of Mark McGuinness as its key advisor. The advisory board was established to guide Devilfish’s growth in emerging gaming verticals. The poker platform seeks to position itself and ascend in the casino, social poker and free-to-play gaming markets.

They will also focus on refining player engagement and integrating further NFT-based features.  Industry data reports a market value of around $8 billion globally and projected growth of over 8% annually. Digital elements such as skins, avatars and NFTs have aided in these figures by driving up the usage in younger players.

Poker resurgence in younger players

Co-Founder of W3 Marketing Ltd and Devilfish Poker, JJ Williams said “We have been continuing the legacy and rich history in the online poker space via its association with the late David A “Devilfish” Ulliott, a WSOP poker hall of famer.

Social Poker and free-to-play have been growing organically over the last few years. Poker has seen a resurgence in interest from younger digital natives who wish to experience the community first-game with the latest Web3 components of digital assets, such as avatars, skins, traits, and NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and digital ownership.
