Sports betting in Kansas hit a new monthly high, with record wagers being registered in October. The month noted sports wagers of $275.9 million in October, a rise of 11 percent from the previous year.
Online sports betting in the state also rose 11 percent to $266.3 million, a new monthly high. Whereas retail betting was up by 9 percent to $9.6 million from the previous year. Of this, DraftKings occupied the largest share of 46 percent, with the betting company registering a record amount of online wagers at $122.8 million, rising 7 percent.
FanDuel saw its online handle register 26 percent more wagers to $85.0 million. BetMGM wagers increased by 10 percent to $23.0 million.
ESPN BET, Caesars and Fanatics were closely matched by online handle on $12.5 million, $12.0 million and $11.2 million, respectively. ESPN BET’s handle made up 72 percent of the state’s retail betting sector with $6.9 million.
However, online betting win was down by 47 percent to $12.9 million, and retail betting win slumped by 95 per cent to $66,662. FanDuel’s online gross win of $5.8 million was ahead of DraftKing’s $4.3 million.
For the first half of this year, Kansas continued to experience significant growth in its sports betting market, with the total handle reaching $1.2 billion, surpassing initial expectations. In June, the handle surged by an impressive 43 percent year-over-year, reaching $140.1 million (approximately €128.7 million).
